I left a request for Fuji HS50EXR Raw Files Support on the Forum but that's All it Was. Was this something Doug had a problem with? Maybe you did report it, but there was a lot of traffic about Fuji files so I lost track. I don't remember-did you report this on the forums? If not, would you please? How is it not correct, for instance. I could see in the Near Future / Using FastStone Image Viewer as the Primary & LightZone ( WHEN SOMEONE Writes a RAW CONVERSION FILE for the HS50EXR ) to do the Final Tweaking. The 1st Program I use is FastStone and THEN from Within FastStone - I'll Transfer the Image to Another Program like LightZone for Further Processing. My Ideal Would Be to ALWAYS Get Totally Awesome Photos SOOC But this Appears a bit Idealistic as Minor Tweaks seem to be Part of MOST Photos I'm Totally Happy With. The Jpegs are Quite Good but Do Have SOME Grainy Tendencies. The newly released LightZone 4 has some Pretty Cool processing features BUT doesn't currently CORRECTLY support HS50EXR Raw Files ( BUT Works Well with HS50EXR Jpegs ) Maybe I'll Slug it Out & Write a Raw Conversion File so it WILL Work.Īlso I wanted to See 1st WHAT I COULD Get Out of the HS50EXR Jpegs. SilkyPix was my main deterrent to shooting RAW before I found FastStone. SilkyPix for me was hard to use with confusing menus and tedious. I'm ALSO NOT Very Excited About the SilyPix Raw Converter Software that comes with the HS50EXR. It's called Blender 3d and is downloadable at That's an Awesome Difference between the Basic Raw & the Image Viewer Enhancements. Their's another Freeware Program that does Amazing Work with Photo-Realistic 3d Modeling & Animation. Years ago I got Tired of Paying for Updates to Image Processing Programs but their ARE places I'd use them IF I had the Financial Motivations to do so. I also use Gimp 2.8 & LightZone 4.0 which are ALL Freeware Programs & EACH Have their Strengths & Weaknesses. I think it's Over-All Currently the "Best" Freeware Image Processing / Viewer Out There ! Is anyone else using FastStone? I would like to know their opinion.įastStone Image Viewer 4.8 has some Great Features & Does some Awesome Processing. A JPG copy of the RAW unprocessed shot as I can't post RAW here, and the corrected shot with Fastone. Also find it easier and quicker than PhotoShop for correction. It has many options, including noise reduction, exposure, contrast, size reduction, color temp, sharpening, and much more. I find it much easier to use than SilkyPix and I get better results.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the processor is. When moved to the right Camera data is shown. When I moved the cuser to the left side of my screen, I was surprised to see an image processor menu open up. I downloaded Fastone because I can see RAW files in the Image Viewer. I have only two programs that can process RAW files.
